San Juan Island Camping for the Ultimate Outdoor Experience

The Lakedale Campground provides guests the opportunity to experience 82 acres of natural beauty outdoors while camping on San Juan Island. A serene oasis secluded from the rest of the world, the Lakedale Campground is conveniently located four miles north from the ferry landing at Friday Harbor and four miles south from the Roche Harbor Resort.

The Lakedale Campground provides three swimming areas, paddle boats, row boats, and canoe rentals, as well as fishing in our stocked lakes (Lakedale fishing permit purchase required.) Voted 'Best Campground in the Northwest' by the readers of The Bicycle Paper, the Lakedale Campground has something for everyone:

Canvas Cabins
If you love being in the woods but pitching a tent is not for you, consider an upscale, unique camping experience in our custom-built canvas cabins overlooking Neva Lake.

Vintage Airstream
For a little bit of a flashback, we have added a vintage 31-foot 1978 Airstream Sovereign (provided by Silver Cottages) to our accommodation mix, tucked into magnificent pine trees lakeside with a private deck (fluffing it vs. roughing it). “Camp” in true Airstream style with Lakedale travel coffee mugs, hot cocoa, and a harmonica for some music ‘round the campfire. Package option is available during the summer season.

General Store
Our General Store is open during camping season and is stocked with apparel and souvenir items you just can’t go home without! Also new for 2009... our Grab 'n Go Gourmet! Don't worry, we still serve fresh hot coffee and espresso, and stock groceries, wine, beer, camping and fishing gear, bait, ice, and wood. Off-season, beverage and groceries are available for purchase in the Lodge.

Shower Facilities
To enhance your camping experience, we have given our shower facilities a new look. Check out the gorgeous tile, raised ceilings, skylights, and new fixtures!

*Token-operated showers and restrooms are available to guests.

All individual overnight sites include one vehicle, two adults, and up to two children (15 and under). All prices are subject to Washington State sales tax. We require a one night’s deposit for each reservation. Guests reserving one of our RV sites must pay for their entire stay at the time of reservation. If you cancel your reservation 48 or more hours in advance of your scheduled arrival, we will refund your full deposit minus a $10 cancellation fee. If you cancel within 48 hours of your scheduled arrival, we are not able to refund your first night’s deposit. There is absolutely no fee to change your dates; however, this is subject to availability!

*Group sites have both minimum and maximum occupancies. The total nightly rate is based on a $30 site fee plus $5 per child and $7 per adult. Each site is different, so please call for details and we will be happy to assist you finding the perfect spot.
